These shouldn’t have happened!

Recent incidents have caused a havoc amongst everyone. The amount of disrespect shown towards the ex-Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif is disappointing.

Khawaja Asif was busy addressing Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz workers when a man came up and threw black ink on his face. The man was later badly beaten up by the Pakistan Muslim League(N) workers before being handed over to Police. However, the minister had called for his release saying he didn’t know him and he has no enmity with the person.

Similar to this, another event took place with Nawaz Sharif, who was invited as the chief guest at Jamia Naemia Seminary in Lahore. A shoe was thrown at his face while he was about to start his speech.

These Incidents have clearly shown how much people hate these individuals but this cannot be condoned. Such actions reflect negative image of Pakistan. This has been the talk of the town since yesterday, “Hot Topic”.  Many of the Social Activists had their own say about these incidents, but they all said, these things must be categorically condemned. We understand that people dislike these individuals because of certain reasons but that do not give them the right to act all illiterate and behave this way. Every citizen has the right to cast out their grievances but actions such as this should not be encouraged at all.

As soon as Nawaz Sharif reached the podium, the shoe was thrown at him, which hit him between his neck and shoulder. The attacker then jumped on the stage, raising slogans in favor of Mumtaz Qadri who was the murderer of Punjab Governor Salman Taseer.

This is not the first-time incidents like this have occurred. If these are not condemned right away, this will give people a free hand to disrespect and attack the ones they don’t like. It certainly is not good for the country which is democratic and is moving towards betterment. Look at the big picture, temporary satisfaction do not bind the future!
